The big summer music festivals in the United Kingdom are world famous and gaining in popularity all the time. Festivals like Glastonbury, Reading, and Knebworth have become cultural movements and are no longer just music festivals. Many of these festivals are complete with theatre, night clubs, cafes, and restaurants as well as the traditional stages showcasing musical acts. When attending a music festival that often goes for days on end, participants often need a pick me up and some time out from the chaos of the large music stages and crowds. Chill out cafes and smaller venues – often complete with an espresso machine for the tired festival goer – are used to compliment the larger venues.
Glastonbury and some of the other large festivals have become so well known that tickets often sell out months in advance. Every year it seems that more people are becoming interested in attending music festivals, however more tickets are not being released to meet this demand. This means that every year there are more unhappy and disappointed non-festival goers who were not able to get tickets to see their favourite bands and musicians. Those who do make it to the large summer festivals however, are enjoying larger and better organised events that cater for all ages and tastes.
Dedicated places to get a good quality coffee machine beverage and some hot food are necessary to keep festival goers safe and refueled. Accommodation at festivals can often be muddy and uncomfortable, with people living in tents for days on end. Cafes and coffee houses can provide people with a level of comfort and refreshment that they are used to in the real world, and offer them the beverages they use on a daily basis to stay energised and on top of their game.
